Swarming Flies

gamingpersonalproductivity

I wanted to take some time to reflect on the last few weeks, as they have been difficult.

My morning hikes are a thing of the past now, as swarms of horseflies and midges would gather around my head and refuse to leave me alone. I just think it is such a shame how something so perfect could be ruined like that.

I have spent a lot of time working on Dixie, although progress has stalled until I can give it a Signal setup of its own. I also took the time to migrate this entire website to Next.js, and as a result, it is running much quicker for all five users. There are a couple of other projects I am working on too, though these are not yet ready to share.

Amid any perceived progress, it is hard not to notice regression. Problems that have plagued me for years seem to rear their ugly heads just as I think I have conquered them for good. I can only apologise for how vague I am being.

Retreating to old games from my childhood was fun at first, but Sonic Adventure will never be as challenging as it was when I was five.

Transient existence doesn’t suit me well at all, and not belonging has proven to be harrowing in a way I always thought was beneath me.
